Assessment
What's your BMI and 10% Goal
Body Mass Index (BMI) is an assessment generally used by GPs and health experts to determine if a person is underweight, overweight or within a healthy weight range.
BMI Ranges: What they mean
Experts generally consider a BMI below 20 to be underweight and a BMI of 20 to 25 to be healthy. BMIs of 25 to 30 are generally considered overweight while a BMI over 30 is generally considered very overweight.
What is a 10% Goal?
Setting a goal to lose 10% of your body weight is an excellent start. At Weight
Watchers, a 10% Goal acts as an achievable 'stepping stone' to your ultimate
Goal Weight. Better still, losing 10% of your body weight may bring some
desirable health benefits, such as a decreased risk of diabetes and improved
feelings of well-being.
